The fund raising is in the final stretch, and they are on track to raise four times the initial funding request. Roberta and I are not affiliated with the team that is doing the documentary. That said, I've been speaking with them continually, and even had them to our home to do some initial filming. They are passionate about the project, and I will continually be bugging them to make sure they not only follow through, but do something that is worth everyone's time and money. Sierra was a very special company, for everyone; Roberta and I, Sierra's employees, suppliers, customers, even our competitors. We were there when the industry was just getting rolling and played a significant role in the birth of the interactive entertainment industry. Even to this day, I receive frequent emails saying how Sierra changed lives (and built careers!). Roberta and I agreed to participate in the documentary because it is a story that affected millions of lives, and one that should be preserved for historic reasons. I'm hoping, and I expect, that the documentary team will bring out the stories of others in addition to Roberta and I. We only know a tiny percentage of the story. The documentary makers will be reaching out to Sierra's designers and others to get a broader perspective than has ever been recorded. I'm sure that in addition to the persons that have already agreed to be interviewed for the documentary, many others will be contacted. This would not have been possible without all of your support. Many thanks to you, and to the documentary team who I'm confident will surprise and enchant all of us. Best wishes all! Roberta and I are REALLY looking forward to seeing what they produce!
