Why I Wrote The Day the Clouds Went Away

I grew up living a lot of my life in imaginary worlds, full of hope that there was more than the real world around me. I started with Fairy Tales, then comic books, than as many books as I could read from the library. Children need Fairy Tales more than ever now; simple storytelling adventures with characters they can relate to.  I also want to highlight children with differences as main characters, without focusing on whether they are blind, deaf, or neurodiverse.
