Project Update: post campaign two week update! Funds arrived, shipping shenanigans and testing, testing and more testing!

Hey Pooh Fans!
I've got some exciting updates for you this week! 🌟
💰 Funds Cleared!
- Great news: the funds have cleared, and we can now place orders! Last night, $7328.47 came through from Backerkit to fund the campaign. The rest went to card fees and Backerkit's commission and a few failed payments. A big step forward!
- Orders for all final products will be placed either today or in the next few days as we finalize details like barcodes, labels, and safety testing certification. 🏷️📦
🚚 Shipping Updates
- Shipping is slowly coming into focus! I'm busy inputting all the sizes, weights, and other details (like volumetric weight and international shipping codes) into the carrier's platform to get the most accurate and up-to-date pricing. I should have some solid figures in place in a week or two. 📦🌍
🛡️ Safety Testing
- I've been calling around different laboratories to get the plushies in for their safety testing. This is a critical part of the process for the plushies and the deck of cards. They need to pass tests and get the stamp of approval for their content and production methodology to be sold in the USA, EU, UK, and many other countries!
- This has been the most stressful part of my week since my Chinese is very bad and not many laboratories that are CPSC-approved and can do EU/UK certification have English-speaking sales staff. And I didn’t budget for an interpreter! 😅
🍼 Personal Note
- Actually, the most stressful part of the week is that our baby got an ear infection, so he hasn’t been sleeping. But he is on the mend now, thankfully! ❤️👶
