Project Update: Update on WAVE 3 including SIX UNLOCKED ACHIEVEMENTS: Ribbons, postcards, & Voidwalker Dice!
We wanted to check in earlier, but we misplaced our author in the luggage compartment of the atom train and it took us a bit of time to fish him out. Now, let’s continue this cruising dance.
Wave 3 Achievements Update
Achievements You've Unlocked Since Wave 2 Ended
- OGA Ribbon 1: One Gold Ribbon added to all copies of OGA and OGA Voidwalker Editions
- VLG Ribbon 1: One Teal Ribbon added to all copies of VLG and VLG Voidwalker Editions
- UVG 1E Postcards: All 10 postcards from the UVG 1E Crowdfunding campaign will be reprinted and given both physically and digitally to all backers.
- OGA Ribbon 2: A 2nd ribbon in Turqoise added to all copies of OGA and OGA Voidwalker Editions
- VLG Ribbon 2: A 2nd ribbon in Orange added to all copies of VLG and VLG Voidwalker Editions
- Voidwalker Dice: Yep, we’re making a second set of dice with a different color combination! These dice will come with all Void Boxes and will be available as an add-on to all backers. They will be the full set of unlocked dice that include the Travel dice achievement that was previously unlocked.
We’ve convinced Luka to let YOU decide on the colors of the well-favored voidwalkers (and we suspect we’ll get him to make some voidwalker art in suitable livery). What do you say? Which voidwalker hue shall we roll down the slow tunnels?
Check out the poll in the tab above or just click here!
(the poll runs till 4 minutes to midnight, August 18, Pacific Time)
More achievements Next Week!

Luka and the Exalted Funeral Team
The last week has been by turns astonishing and exhausting for me. The runup to the launch, getting everything prepared, getting all the files sorted and in place so I won't be improvising them for production. Oooh. It's a lot. But you all have made it worth it.
This week I've been working on getting the Guidebook ready for y'all to enjoy. Nearly there, nearly there. But I've been told I need to bring an early visual of the voidbox too, so now I'm alternating between those two. The first part of any illustration for me is getting the first concepts feeling good, then I start drawing and probably throw away a few false starts and sometimes even redo the whole concept. That happened with the Our Golden Age book cover.
But, before I get into the weeds on those, I want to celebrate the $365k mark with an open question bar - better than me hanging around Xwitter and getting "engaged" by ragebait.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
—L.
P.S.
Tried to add an image to open this minibar ... but it didn't work, so here is the link.

A number of backers have requested hardcopies of some PDF-only UVG zines as potential "third wave" achievements, mainly Zoa of the Vastlands and Rrypo Get a Head. There are a number of other PDF-only releases as well on the patreon, the itch.io store, and the wizardthieffighter blog (edit - and the syntheticdreammachine website), some free, some not: Breve: Ultraviolet Heroes Dead City Memories, Vol 1 Hexers Guide 1 - Tales from the Gastro Zone Mushroom Kingdom of Umber Red Sky Dead City UVG Guide Book: Terraformed Moon Voyages of the Black Obelisk Possibly UVG/OGA related (I haven't read them yet): Minister's Biggest Pyramid Monochrome Rainbows Well-Gourded Village All of the above is in addition to blog & patreon posts with titles like: A Goblin in the SDM Exploding Autogolems Twenty Hero Paths ...and probably more that I'm missing, as I'm still digging through the 4? 5 (if we count lukarejec.com)? even more? websites containing this material (not that I'm complaining, I'm just kinda overwhelmed by all of the additional stuff I didn't realize existed). And then there are the hardcopy zines, which I'm guessing are going to be mostly/entirely incorporated into OGA: Eternal Return Key Magitecnia There, A Red Door So, my request/suggestion for a possible future crowdfunding project, after OGA has been fulfilled, is for another book that collects and expands the above material (not already appearing in UVG, OGA, and VLG), including text-only material from the various blogs and websites, with new art and whatever else you come up with between now and then. Maybe include another comic/story or two, similar to Eternal Return Key? Possibly hooks and ideas for anything ranging from one-shots to entire campaigns? Solo/GM-less/co-op rules, if they don't make it into the current campaign? More "Into the Grasslands" style conversions for other systems (especially OSE & B/X)? Etc. $35 - $50 US for such a book wouldn't be much more than buying the non-free PDFs and the current (and future) hardcopy zines + shipping... tldr: Update the relevant uncollected stuff & put it + whatever else in a pretty package please so we can throw more money at you? Is this doable? Interesting / not interesting? A total pipe dream? PS - Bad pun title for this potential additional book, no, I'm not serious: "Vasterlands" aka "Vasterland's Pussycats - Kill! Kill!" Referring, of course, on the classic Russ Meyer shlocksploitation film "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faster,_Pussycat!_Kill!_Kill! I highly recommend the Cramps' cover of the title song.
