Greetings campaign followers, I have a quick update for you. If you are a backer, please read the backers-only section below for additional updates.
Survey and Preorder Store
The survey and preorder store are now closed to finalize item counts. Thanks to our survey addons and preorders, the following additional items were funded!

If you ordered one of these it will be removed from your order and you will not be charged for it. It may take a few days to remove all the items that were not funded, so expect a charge for funded addons and shipping within 1-3 days.
What will happen to the items that were not funded?
Patches and lanyards: Interest was low in these items but I would like to add more to my shop one day. I will be considering which ideas were the most popular for these items and you may see them in some form in the future.
2022 Pride Angels pins and keychains: I'm not planning to put these designs up for preorder again. The pin manufacturer for these designs has a MOQ of 100 and it looks like interest is too low to meet that. If you liked any of the 2022 Pride Angels designs, you can still find some of them with my stockists.
2024 Pride Angels pins: You can recommend colors for future preorders in the discussion post. I will be prioritizing preorders for the designs that were not funded in this campaign, and if possible will put both the alternate colorway and Pride colorway up for preorder together. Below are some alternate colorway concepts based on your suggestions so far, a big thank you to everyone who commented on the post. Let me know if you have a favorite. If you want to try coloring an angel yourself, the linework is available on Tumblr.
Missed the campaign?
If you missed the campaign and preorder store but still wanted any of the campaign items, you will be able to purchase leftovers of my design from my shops once campaign fulfillment is complete; and guest artist items from their respective artists. The ETA for that is October 2024. Thanks for following the campaign!

I took liberty of doing some digging and checking socials after no further updates/survey. For anyone interested their etsy store was supposed to be closed until August 5th for a big move to a new home. As of writing it is August 12th and while the store is still closed, the message remains untouched. I hope everything is okay!
Hello backers, the surveys close in four days! There are still about 200 backers who have not answered their surveys, if you are one of these backers please fill out your survey as soon as you can. Here's one last update on which items have been unlocked and which could use more orders.
Some reminders if you've been holding off on filling out your survey:
Any items that are not unlocked will be removed and you will not be charged for them. You cannot order these removed items if you fill out your survey late.
For some of the locked preorder designs, I may self-fund the most popular variants if they are not funded and I have enough budget for them. You can vote for your favorites with your preorders.
For all other items, I will not be self-funding them if there is insufficient interest, so this is your only chance to see them get made!
For the Pride Angels pins specifically, I've made a discussion postwhere you can share your ideas for alternate pin colors. You're welcome to share your ideas for the popular designs too but I'll be specifically looking for ideas for the less popular pin designs that aren't unlocked. You might see them as preorders in future campaigns.
If you fill out your survey after August 12, it will be late. If we don't have enough items to cover your late order, you may have to wait while we make more, select different items, or have to accept a B-grade items with some flaws.
Bigender Angel Pin Correction
There is a mistake in the graphic for the Bigender Angel pin, it is now corrected on the campaign page and in the survey/preorder store. The linework in the white and yellow portions of the pin will be metal. If this is a deal-breaker for you, be sure to choose a different pin before the surveys lock.

Hi backers, happy Monday - I have a quick update for you all.
Switching Pledge Levels
A few people have mentioned they misunderstood which pins would be available in the survey questions. So I have enabled a new feature that allows you to switch pledge levels in the survey.
There should now be an option to switch your pledge level when filling out your survey, as shown in the example below. This will open a menu where you can select a different pledge level. If you over-pledged you will have some credit you can spend on addons or shipping. As stated on the campaign page I cannot give refunds, I hope this is a somewhat helpful compromise. In the future be sure to read the campaign page and updates thoroughly, and ask questions if anything is unclear.
I have not used this pledge switching feature before so if there are any issues with it, please comment or reach out to Backerkit support.
Survey Reminder and Unlocked Items
Only about 60% of the surveys have been filled out. If you haven't yet filled out your survey, please do so soon. I cannot place the manufacturing orders until a sufficient number of surveys have been filled out. I may extend the survey deadline depending on how things look on August 12.
Now for some fun news! The following items have been unlocked in the survey/preorder store:
If there is an item you want to see funded, be sure to share in your communities or with friends! We still have some time before orders are locked to get more items funded.
Finally, I've been thinking about how to give any pin designs that don't get funded, a second chance to be made. I thought perhaps alternate colorways might make them more appealing (if the design's artwork itself is unappealing then there's no fixing that LOL!)

WE JUST HIT 60K! Our final stream doesn't even start for another half hour!
First of all, HOLY COW thank you!! I can't believe we hit a stretch goal :D and you know what that means... The Mandelbrot Hall pilot will have an official dub in one other language of your choice!!
Voting is open to backers only, and the poll closes ONE WEEK from today. We did our best to include every language suggested by you guys, plus the top languages from our viewer demographics. If you don't see the language you want, comment it below and let others like/reply to count as their vote!
The campaign has ended with a staggering $66,909!! Thanks a flimpillion!!
Our final stream went 5 hours overtime thanks to an incredible backer train, ending at 1:11 AM. We had a big, tired group hug after; we truly can not thank you all enough. Now, the real hard work begins!!
Production Update #0
We'll be posting animation production + merch shipping updates just like this one right here on Backerkit at the beginning of every month.
In addition, we'll continue making weekly updates every Friday on our Patreon- and documenting the whole process in our videos of course! Merch:
IMPORTANT: If your payment method was declined upon the end of the campaign, you have until Aug 14th to remedy this in your BackerKit account.
Over the next 7-10 days, all payments from backers will be processed. Soon after everything has gone through, we will send out a survey for backers who need to provide shipping info.
Additionally, if your pledge included a shirt, name in the credits, or choice of trading card, you will provide the relevant information (e.g. shirt size, preferred name, etc.) in this survey.
When we've collected all necessary information, we'll place the merch production orders and start packing once we receive everything at the studio. (And yes, that means we will be packing and shipping all orders ourselves, so please be patient!)
Animation production:
Our script only needs a few more edits before being locked for voice acting.
We have a full thumbnail animatic with temporary audio/VO, and we will begin doing cleaner storyboards starting this month.
We only completed enough visual development to fully animate the trailer, so some additional location design/prop work will need to be completed before we start animating. Thankfully, the material we already have covers a lot of ground.

Not sure if this is the most efficient way to ask a question or if it’s excessive to start a discussion, but do you guys think buying mandelbrot hall merch will be available to buy at some point in its own store (either etsy, or its own website, etc.) since the funding is over?
