We're closing in on the final days of the campaign!
We've knocked out yet another stretch goal! Not only do we have the Oathbreaker & Spellblade subclasses, but BIG legendary monster cards, an upgraded adventure, we're working on VTT support, we've got an upgraded GM screen now too!
Next up: at 180k a martial Shadowmancer subclass the SHADOWREAVER. And would you just look at that art. 🔥 This is another story based subclass that asks the question "what happens when a Shadowmancer is cast aside by their patron?" I'm super excited about this one!
On the horizon, if we can crack 200k I'll be able to upgrade the book for everyone. Both the softcover and hardcover ones. For the softcover backers, instead of a stablebound zine-style book I'd like to upgrade to a sewn perfect-bound spine (BIG upgrade over staples). And for the hardcovers, increasing the quality overall, exploring better/fancier materials, gold/silver foil stamping, Bookmark Ribbon(s).
After that, I'm exploring options of making an easy online character builder, possibly a Beastmaster Hunter subclass, upgrading the adventure to level 5 (or even level 6), more legendary monsters & monster cards. Lots of cool options if we can get there :D

Project Update: Monster Creation Livestream, New Stretch Goals, Referral survey & more!
As we approach our final week in this wonderful journey towards the realm of Faerie, I bringeth a bounty of project news and updates!Â
Monster Creation & Nimble 5e Stream
Join us for an hour or two Saturday at around 10pm GMT/ 2pm PST while I design and draw creatures for the final book of Faerie! Discuss ideas for creatures, get a behind the scenes peek as fantasy art comes together, and ask us any questions you have about Faerie. By the end we should have a few gloriously horrid Fey beasties! If it turns out to be fun (how could it not) then we may even do a few more over the coming weeks and months until final fulfilment! ⚔️
And also join us TONIGHT 1am GMT on a stream hosted by Nimble 5e creator Evan, over on the Nimble campaign page. We will be discussing the Witch class in some more detail and talking about its conversion for use with the Nimble system!
Unlocked Stretch Goals
Next approaching is the Witches Grimoire at 125k, which adds a gorgeous leatherbound physical players-notebook to the Earl tier and as an add-on. The notebook contains room to keep track of player notes, spells, and contains a built in character sheet along with the entire Witch spell list to make preparing and choosing thy casting options easy!
Referral Programme Changes & Survey
It appears that despite our goodly intentions, the referral programme has proven a wee bit divisive. So, based on some of the feedback you’ve given us, we will be making the following changes:
- If you referred someone at any point in the campaign (including prior to the referral trial), both you and your referee/s will receive the digital content pack for free provided you fill in the referral section post campaign.
- We are also releasing the previously-exclusive digital content pack as an add-on, as well as attaching it to the physical mini add-on. So if you’ve already grabbed or decide to grab the physical Willow mini you will now also get both of her STLs and the content pack for no extra charge!
We can’t re-do or completely change a now launched referral programme without unfairly impacting those who’ve since partaken, but hopefully this means no one need miss out on the goodies! They are now available in their entirety for purchase, or still for free via referrals. We want to be open to trying out new things like this, but hopefully next time it will be better informed by your feedback!

Project Update: New ION Heart Merch Unlocked 🔑
We hit ÂŁ120k! I know what you're all thinking. What was that mystery stretch goal? IT WAS MERCH! Specifically a big mech sticker pack. You can slap these on your journal, mech, or if you only have access to lame human technology, your computer.

Project Update: August Update - New Updated Downloads
I know we missed July for an update but we have been so busy with the pre-production stage that we didn't have much to update you on.
I wanted to send out this update just to let everyone know that we are sending you an updated file with all the changes we made prior to going to print.
This file is the final version but we still have some time before print actually begins so if anyone sees anything that needs changing please don't hesitate to reach out as sometimes fresh eyes really do help!
I have also included the STL file for the Seer Mini Stretch Goal for all of you who wanted to get it printed out and painted.
You will see these files in your emails soon! If not please feel free to let us know and we will send you a link to retrieve them!
I also wanted to just note that as we are in production mode these updates may be a lot shorter as we go on, purely because our main part of creating this game is all done (which we see as an absolute win) but we also have a lot more to do with fulfilment so keep an eye out for updates regarding that as we get more info from the manufacturer!

Project Update: The Fifth Shard - Draft Manuscript Preview #5 for Backers
This is it! Our final manuscript preview for the campaign. Using the links below, all backers are able to read the entire current draft of the book, before any pledges are processed or payments collected. While these versions of The World are full of mysteries, there's no secrets here - you know exactly what you're getting into with this project.Â
Well, just about, I guess. The Onyx Path team will be adding two additional shard settings to the final book. Lost Time was added via Stretch Goal achievement and decided by backer vote. We've added a seventh shard via Stretch Goal, but the final theme of that last shard is still to be determined, chosen by backer vote when this campaign concludes on Thursday, August 15th around 2 PM EDT. There's still time to vote if you haven't, and time to plead your case if your choice isn't currently in first place!
Your options for a new shard:
- Teen Drama: Scion High, but with a more action-y style and greatly expanded. More like Riverdale than other teen dramas.
- Cartoon: Where being made a fool is worse than being Taken Out.
- Sports Drama: Drawing inspiration from Ted Lasso, A League of Their Own, and the Sandlot. Personal growth through sports competition.
- Journey to the Wild West: Journey to the West, but it's set in the Wild West. Wuxia cowboys!
- Aquatic Adventures: An Atlantis meets Waterworld and pirate-themed shard. Dive into the depths to recover lost relics or awaken the slumbering Earth Gods to create new lands.Â
Right now, we have about 230 votes, which is only 30% of all backers. So there are still lots of votes that could come in and make some dramatic shifts over the next two days!
International Shipping – Collected in the Pledge Manager
First up, it's amazingly expensive to ship, especially from Onyx Path's home base in the US. We get that, but there's not much we can do at this time. Onyx Path is in a difficult space where the company is big enough that they're not saving money by fulfilling out of Rich's garage, but small enough that they can't really set up international partners to handle portions of the fulfillment. So we are where we are - for now.Â
The best we can do at this point is to plan carefully, advise everyone up front that international shipping will likely be expensive (see our projections on the main page) and only charge what it costs us when the time comes. We’ll be charging for shipping in the Pledge Manager once the books are being printed and we can deal with the actual shipping charges rather than using our best-guesses this far out. If you live outside the US and aren't sure you want the hardcover or other physical items, you can pledge to the PDF tier now and upgrade your pledge in the Pledge Manager once we know the final shipping costs.

Project Update: Pledge Manager Smoke Test
I've been back from Gen Con for a week but lost some time due to Covid. I'm feeling much better and I'm in dire need of giving you an update!
While at Gen Con I approved the final proofs (see the physical copies in the photo) and paid the deposit! I also met with my printer while there. We are currently looking at the end of August/beginning of September for the production to finish. After that the books will need to get on a boat and head to my warehouse in the US and my fulfillment partner in the UK's warehouse. This should probably put fulfillment to you around the end of October!
All-in-all it has been a pretty fast turnaround on this project.
As soon as I send this update out, I will do a smoke test to about 5% of you. Please, if you get it make all of your final selections. I want to have this part wrapped up by the end of the month so that when the books are finished, I can pay the final balance. Please have this filled out before then so I know how many of everything to send where!Â

Project Update: August Update
Hope you're having a good summer. Just wanted to drop in and give a quick update for all of you. I've had a few medical problems come up over the last couple months. Although I'm waiting on some results from the doc, things are getting back in order.
The books are getting finished up hopefully this month and sent out in PDF form to all of you and then to our overseas printers. Currently, all the other stretch-goal add-ons are complete and ready to go as are the VHS cases which are being held at our other office.

We wanted to check in earlier, but we misplaced our author in the luggage compartment of the atom train and it took us a bit of time to fish him out. Now, let’s continue this cruising dance.
